There are two record problems. The first is finding records you already have. The second is getting records from someone else: a clinic, groomer, boarding facility, caregiver, or family member who has a file you need.

Email works, but it can get messy fast. Documents end up in different threads, with unclear pet names, missing context, or attachments you have to download and organize later.

What a secure upload link does

In MyPetVault, eligible users can generate a secure upload link or QR code so someone else can send pet documents into the owner's vault. The recipient does not need the owner's account login.

That link can be shared with a clinic, caregiver, groomer, boarding facility, or someone in your own family who has paperwork for your pet.

Why time limits matter

Upload links should not be permanent. MyPetVault frames these links as time-limited access, currently with a 7-day window, and owners can revoke or rotate a link if it was sent to the wrong person.

That matters because the link is meant to collect documents, not give someone ongoing access to your account.

Where QR codes help

A QR code is useful when the person helping you is standing in front of you or working from a phone. Instead of typing a long link, they scan it and open the upload flow.

What happens after upload

The owner still reviews what comes in. A secure upload link is a collection tool, not a silent filing system. Once the document is in the vault, the owner can review, organize, and save the record under the right pet.
